parade for the moon
I collaborated with Jason Phu to produce parade for the moon which was a nightly parade of community lion dancers, marching bands and performers for 10 days of the 2022 RISING Festival featuring costumes made by artists Jason Phu, Nabilah Nordin, James Nguyen and Veisinia Tonga in collaboration with different community groups and schools.
It was a procession of spirits, dragons, loud drums and animals marching in tribute to the moon that gathered nightly in the Golden Square carpark and around Chinatown.
